Toye was a light for everyone she met—and not just because she had a smile that could light up a room. Toye could easily have become bitter and hopeless after Bryant’s death, but she chose to become a gun violence prevention advocate instead. Her work with Moms Demand Action was greatly admired, and her survivor story will continue to help raise awareness and inspire volunteers to #KeepGoing. The world was a better place because of Toye. She will be greatly missed.
