I met Lovey thru her mother Mary Mitchell. Mary was the first beautician to perm my hair back in the late 70’s early 80’s. Once Mary retired, Lovey continued being my beautician. It was always a fun time to be had in her beauty shop - Lovey was a consummate professional beautician. If she felt a certain procedure on your hair was not right for you, she refused to do it. If she felt it was not time for a retouch, you weren’t going to get it. She always made me laugh and we joked constantly. She gave me private appointments because I suffered with alopeshia (hair loss) and I was very self conscious about it. She was such a kind understanding person. I just recently learned of her passing and it hit me HARD. I will always remember and appreciate her.
