Jonathan and Family, My deepest condolences to the family on the passing of your beloved Lillian Sherman. Lillian and I were sisters in Christ at Pleasant Zion M.B.C. in New Orleans. She was a dedicated servant in the church, always kind, pleasant, and full of grace. Her sweet spirit touched many, and she will forever hold a special place in my heart. I feel compelled to share just how deeply Lillian's compassion impacted my family. After Hurricane Katrina, my family evacuated to Houston, TX. When my younger sister made the decision to remain in Houston, we were at a loss—we knew no one there, and I was concerned about leaving her without support. I reached out to Lillian, and without hesitation, she came to Houston. She reassured me that she would be there for my sister for as long as needed. That act of love and generosity speaks volumes about who Lillian was—a true woman of faith, compassion, and commitment. Her kindness will never be forgotten, and I will always cherish her memory. May the Lord comfort you and give you peace that surpasses all understanding. Maxine Henry Olidge & Family”
