Keith Williams

December 5, 1956 – November 21, 2023

Keith Danny Williams, a native New Orleanian, was born December 5, 1956 and passed on November 21st, 2023 at Houston Memorial Hermann Hospital. Keith was the eighth of nine offsprings born to Lawrence Earnest (Gummy) Williams and Mildred Vivian (Lil Mil) Andry. Being reared in a Christian home from infancy to adulthood, Keith shined brightly and his demeanor always reflected it throughout his entire life. Being the 2nd to the last born of nine siblings, Keith always maximized his 2-year advance over his younger brother, Elston Howard Williams, by always looking out for his well-being. All nine siblings were reared in a loving, Christian environment and taught to seek a relationship with God for all matters of life’s trials and tribulations. They were taught to love one another, respect one another and to stick together. This teaching philosophy included the nuclear family, the extended family and all relatives, neighbors, friends, and associates.

The entire village of New Orleans, LA, set the stage for Keith Danny Williams to soar like an eagle in pursuit of his life’s dreams and aspirations. Keith, a renowned professional Educator dedicated his career by being an outstanding H.I.S.D. Administrator. In 2021, after approximately 21 years of service, Keith made a decision to retire and enjoy the fruits of his labor. Additionally, Keith Danny Williams served his native country, The United States of America as a Valiant Staff Sergeant and as a recruiter in two branches of the armed forces; The Air Force and the Army, mostly the Army.

The family thanks you for your prayers and support during the loss of our loved one, Keith Danny Williams.

I met Mr. Keith a few short months ago and his infectious passion for Sunnyside & the people was obvious from that very moment. Seeing him at the recent gala positively cemented my observation and opinion of him. I will miss his energy, smile and the opportunity to work together as we had planned. Rest In Power Mr Keith.
