I have known and loved Mr. Ross for over 30 years. Mr. Ross was a loving and caring family friend. He was more like a father to my cousin Regina who he called Nicky. He was a brother-in-law to my mother Gladys and an uncle to me, Decker, Ikae’ and Michael. He was a great-uncle to my sons Brian who he called Bob, Bryce and Braxton. Each of us shared the love of my aunt, Tommye Jean Dove. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as well as ours. Mr. Ross will be truly missed.

Mr. Ross was known as a very spirit-filled guy, opening his knowledge about veterinary care to all of his customers and friends. There never were any issues with leaving your pets over the pick up timeframe or the amount to pay for the service he rendered. Even though his business strived until he departed from the Westheimer location, clients still recognized Mr. Ross as the first of first to have an African American business in the Montrose business district of the city of Houston, Texas.
