Scott McArt

December 30, 1950 – May 6, 2025

Scott Alexander McArt was born on December 30, 1950 to Dr. Bruce McArt and Patricia McArt in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was baptized as a Christian at an early age.

Scott spent his early years in Elkhart, Indiana and his later school-age years in Appleton, Wisconsin. After graduation from high school he attended the University of Wisconsin Madison where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He later received his MBA from Corpus Christi State University. He went on to work in various cities throughout the United States and in Europe at petroleum refineries.

Scott was a car racing enthusiast, he loved watching NASCAR races. He loved fast cars, mainly Porsches’. He even purchased one and rebuilt it. He also loved gardening and collecting orchids.

In 2015 Scott met Linda Vann and fell in love. He said he was “captivated by her smile”. They were married in 2016 and enjoyed many years together.

Scott passed away on May 6, 2025, at home, with his loving wife, Linda by his side.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Bruce McArt and his mother, Patricia Warrick.

Scott leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Linda; brother, David (Rita); sister, Kristin (Al); brother, Kevin (Heidi); a host of nephews, nieces and other family members.  He also leaves his loving companion, his dog Kolbe.
