Lillie Marie Brown departed this life on Monday, October 20, 2025. She was born on January 20, 1938, to Sam Brown Sr. and Estella Webb Brown, the youngest of eight children.

Lillie received her early education in Port Sullivan and Hearne, Texas. She graduated from Blackshear High School in 1955 and went on to attend Prairie View A&M University and Texas Southern University.

She later met and married Preston Brown Jr., and to this union four children were born—two sons and two daughters.

Lillie was employed by Texas Instruments, where she faithfully served for more than 20 years before taking early retirement.
