May 28, 1941 – May 5, 2020

Junius Pete was born May 28, 1941 to the union of Gilbert and
Amelia Pitre in Mowata, Louisiana. He received his education from the
Jennings school system.
He relocated to Houston, Texas where he united in Holy Matrimony
with Bernitha Mae Johnson. Four children were born to this union.
He later united in Holy Matrimony with Ruby Payne. He later joined the
St. Francis Catholic Church in Houston, Texas where he served faithfully.
Junius departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
He was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Amelia Pitre; seven
brothers, and one sister.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Merytha Pete and
Marcella Guillory-Thomas (Darryl) both of Houston, Texas.
Ten sons, Joseph Pete, Sr. (Debra), Michael Grady (Sherunda), Anthony
Grady (Lisa), Edward Pete (Jackie), Kevin Grady (Felicia), Kirk Grady
(Pam), Todd Grady, Eric Pete (Perry) all of Houston, Texas; Wayne
Guillory (Virgie) of Waco, Texas and Paul Pete of California.
Two brothers; John Pete of Houston, Texas and Dudley Pitre of Eunice,
Louisiana.
He leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and a host
of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
