Earnest Clay Prince

February 18, 1939 – May 19, 2026

Earnest Clay Prince Sr. was born on February 18, 1939, in Hallettsville, Texas, to the late Collier and Luberta Prince. He graduated from Stephen Mayo High School in 1956 and built a long career in the food industry, retiring from Hormel Food Corporation after many years of dedicated service. He was also a successful business owner and entrepreneur.

A man of strong faith, Earnest faithfully served as Head Deacon at St. Agnes March of Faith Ministries. He was known for his love of family, generosity, and the joy he found in bringing people together through food and fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings, and his grandson, Zacchae’us Foster.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years, Zenobia Yvonne Prince; his daughter, Kerronda Shellete Prince; his son, Earnest C. Prince Jr. (Verlincia); honorary son, Dion Foley; sister, Katy Mae Foley; five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

His legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
