Dy’aire, my Mookie, my bestfriend, my sister, I’ll never forget the first day I met you. I love you to the end of this lifetime and far beyond the next. My heart is shattered in a million pieces. You’ve given me 10 great years of friendship that I’ll cherish until my dying breath. I reach for my phone everyday thinking “let me call this girl before she cusses me out” and then reality sets in. I wish you were here with us, warm, happy, and looking forward to what the future holds. You know, let you tell it, you named my daughter even if you only chose her middle name…funny enough that’s how I’m telling it now too. This all feels like a nightmare I cannot wake up from, and I just wish you would call me and tell me the jokes over. I was looking forward to spending time with you for your birthday, but now I’m looking forward to the day we meet again.
