Carolyn Ann Johnson, transitioned to eternal life with God on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at home. She was 79 years old. Carolyn was born in Houston, Texas on June 5, 1943, to Maggie Johnson and was the oldest child of five children.

Carolyn grew up in Houston, Texas where she attended HISD schools and graduated from Worthing High School in 1961 and later attended Texas Southern University.

She was affectionately known as Grandma Carol, and she took immense pride in her family and their accomplishments.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maggie Johnson; son, Alan S. Johnson; and brothers Closter Johnson and Edwin Johnson.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Trenton D. Johnson and Adrian S. Johnson; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Johnson; two sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Debra Boyd (Willie); one sister-in-law, Irene Johnson; three granddaughters, Tameshia James, Te’Andrea Johnson (Carlton), Tia Johnson; three great-grand daughters and one great-grandson and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives.
