My dearest Robert
Words cannot describe the pain in my heart. I am just numb at the loss of my only nephew. You have accomplished so much in your 64 years of living. I am going to miss your phone calls and text messages. We both enjoyed listening to jazz and I'll always remember you playing the drums. You were amazing. You are now with your mother, father and grandmother who loved you unconditionally. Until we meet again my nephew. I LOVE you dearly. God Bless Sharyn, Shanese and King. Always Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Butch.
Extending my heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
Dear Mrs. Smalls and Family:
Pam and I were very saddened to hear of the demise of our friend, Robert. We have kept in touch with him since before the demise of his Mom an Dad.
However, during times like these, we have always found Peace and Closure in Hebrews 11-16(KJV) where God has prepared for them a Brand New City in a Better Country.
We are certain that your Faith will sustain you and the remainder of your family now and in the days and weeks to come.

My deepest condolences to Sharon. Remembering the times at New Birth were very special! I will always remember his bright smile! Blessings
From the first day I met Rev and Sis.Smalls, he and I bonded.
He was so instrumental in my continuous growth and walk with The Lord.
I will forever be grateful for his support for me and my family during hardships.

My Cousin Robert,
When I see your face in an obituary, it hits differently. I never thought I’d be here. You were my first best friend. We were as thick as thieves when we were kids up until you moved to Houston. I look at these dates October 23, 1960 - September 9, 2025, and realize the most important and meaningful part is the dash. It was in that dash that we played together, jumped off the big swings, watched TV, laughed until we cried, washed dishes, went to church, ate, talked, played Sorry, sang, prayed, danced, went to jazz clubs, and enjoyed family gatherings together. It was in that dash, that you loved me like a sister, confided in me, prayed for me and encouraged me. It was in that dash that you loved me unconditionally even at a distance. And I realize how short that dash actually is. I wasn’t ready to lose my cousin. I cannot say goodbye. But thank you for all the wonderful memories we shared in that dash. Give Mama Dot a hug for me. Until we meet again. I love you. Your cousin, Tisha
Our condolence and prays are with you and your family.
